Thank you for visiting our website and for your interest in DBC and our services. In order for you to feel safe and comfortable when visiting our website, we take the protection of your personal data and its confidential treatment very seriously.

With these notes on data protection, we would therefore like to inform you about when we store which data and for what purpose we use it - of course in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations of the General Data Protection Regulation GDPR with legal validity on 25 May, 2018.

Definition of personal data

The concept of personal data is defined in the “Federal Data Protection Act”. Accordingly, these are individual details of the personal or factual circumstances of a certain or definable natural person.

The “EU Data Protection Basic Regulation (GDPR)”, which will enter into force in 25 May 2018, defines personal data as follows:

DBC respects your privacy

The protection of your privacy in the processing of your personal data is an important concern to which we pay special attention during our business processes. We process personal data collected during your visit to our websites confidentially and solely in compliance with legal provisions. Collection and processing of personal data

Personal data is only stored when voluntarily given by you for a determined purpose e.g. in context of a correspondence or in performance of a contract. In addition also the following information does not collected when visiting our website: IP addresses, the website from which you visit us, pages viewed, files downloaded, videos viewed or audio tracks listened to, individual links clicked, search words or search phrases, duration of visit, browser used, etc. Also, if the visit is a result of online advertising such as banners, video ads or search engine advertising, etc., we also do not record, which banner, adword, etc. motivated the visit to Bosch websites. Therefore, the insights do not enable DBC to further optimize our websites and tailor them even better to our visitors‘ needs.



Use of cookies

1) DBC cookies

DBC does not use cookies and active components e.g. JavaScript to track visitors‘ preferences and customise the design of the websites. Cookies genereally are small text files stored on your computer when you visit a website.

2) Third-party cookies

Some DBC websites incorporate content and services from other providers e.g. YouTube, Facebook, Google or Twitter, who, in turn, may use cookies and active components. DBC has no influence on the processing of personal data by these providers. Please refer to the respective provider‘s websites for information about how your data is handled.



Use of the Webtrends web analytics tool

DBC does not use Webtrends web analytics tools to carry out access measurements, also not Webtrends web analytics tools, which are prepared by the 1&1 Internet SE as the internet provider for DBC. After this, access data will not collected in anonymized form so that a contact can not longer be traced back to a user. In particular, this isn’t also done by anonymizing the IP address. Cookies are used for metrics to enable website usage to be analyzed. In particular, DBC also can not use them to improve data quality. 3) YouTube

DBC websites use the YouTube video platform operated by YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave. San Bruno, CA 94066 USA. YouTube is a platform that enables playback of audio and video files. When you load a page on our website, the integrated YouTube player establishes a connection to YouTube in order to ensure the technical transmission of the video or audio file. When the connection to YouTube is established, data can be transferred to YouTube - also in face of conducted settings as "advanced privacy" by the add on "youtube-nocookie" in every currently linked youtube-address on the website of DBC. 4) Twitter

DBC websites use social plugins ("plugins") of the social network Twitter, which is operated by Twitter Inc., 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA ("Twitter"). The plugins are identified with a Twitter logo or the suffix "tweet". If you visit a page on our website that contains such plugins, they are initially disabled. The plugins are not enabled until you click the button that is provided. By enabling the plugins, you establish the connection to Twitter and give your consent to the transmission of data to Twitter. If you are logged into Twitter, Twitter can associate the visit with your Twitter account. Use of personal data and purpose specification

DBC or a service provider engaged by DBC does not use your personal data for the purpose of technical administration of websites, customer administration, product surveys, enquiries you submit to DBC or in the scope necessary for this purpose or according to the description of processing purposes given at the corresponding locations of DBC’s websites. DBC’s employees and the service providers engaged by DBC are obliged to maintain confidentiality and to comply with the provisions of the German Federal Data Protection Act. In addition, the compliance to all necessary technical and organizational measures will be ensured.

Security

DBC takes security precautions to ensure that your data we have under our control is protected against tampering, loss, destruction, access by unauthorised persons, or unauthorised disclosure. DBC’s security measures are being continuously improved in accordance with the state of technological developments.

Advertising

When you provide us with personal data, we use it to inform you about our services and, where applicable, to include you in surveys about them, provided you have given us your express consent to use your personal data for advertising purposes. If you have granted your consent for such use, but no longer wish to receive advertising from DBC, you can revoke your consent at any time.
